Listing Guidelines and Rules
Before creating a listing on PickleTraders, consider the following checklist:
Stripe Account
Ensure you have a Stripe account. If you don't have one, you'll be guided through the setup process when creating your first listing.
Product Availability
The product you’re selling must be in your possession.
Staff-Approved for Top Spin Quality
Our dedicated team manually reviews every incoming listing, including verification photos, to ensure quality and trust in our marketplace
Create Your Listing
Once you've chosen the product to sell, visit the "Post a New Listing" page and provide detailed information about the product. Although some fields are optional, filling out every field can increase buyer confidence and lead to quicker sales.
Title and Description
Spend time crafting a clear and detailed title and description. These elements help buyers understand what to expect and improve the visibility of your listing in search results. Include any relevant details, such as bonus accessories or unique features, to make your listing stand out.
Choose the Condition
Accurately describe the condition of your item. Detailed descriptions of wear and tear are crucial for used products. It's better to be honest and cautious to avoid dissatisfied buyers and returns.
Set Your Price and Stock
Enter the Ask Price for your product. Note that the PickleTraders buyer fee will be added to your price and scaled accordingly. If you have multiple units of the item, specify the stock quantity.
Set the Shipping Cost
Specify the shipping cost, as PickleTraders does not include shipping charges in the final price. This cost is paid by the seller, so it's important to set it accurately.
Upload Your Pictures
Upload 2-3 high-quality photos from different angles to show every detail of the product. Good photos help buyers make informed decisions and reduce the chance of dissatisfaction.
Verification Photo
Include a photo of your product next to a sticky note with your name (as it appears on your ID) and the listing date. This verification photo is required for your listing to go live. Here are some tips for the verification photo:
- Ensure the entire item is visible, with the sticky note next to it, and does not obstruct the view.
- For new items, show the factory packaging or state the packaging condition in the pictures.
- For used items, include photos from every angle (top, bottom, sides) to validate the condition.
- Upload photos of any additional items included in the listing.
- Add as many photos as possible, including close-ups of any damage or wear and tear. Ensure there’s adequate lighting.
Publish Your Listing
After filling out all the details, click "Publish Listing" to save it. Note that your listing isn't live yet. A staff member will manually review it, including the verification photo. Once approved, your listing will go live, and you can start selling.
Accepting Lower Offers
Buyers may contact you with lower offers or requests for more information. If you decide to accept a lower offer, remember that reducing the price makes it available to all buyers. To lower the price, view your listing, click "Edit Listing," and adjust the price accordingly.
